I photographed this mother and daughter duo in one of my two studio options over the winter, when it was too cold to spend much time outside. I love motherhood sessions, because mothers are magic. And yet our work at home and in the hearts of our children generally goes unrecognized by the outside world. It’s a 24/7 job, and the one that ultimately matters the most, but it can leave us feeling unseen and a little worse for the wear.
But friend, I see you. And you are stunning. You radiate love. To your children, you are goodness and safety and home all in one beloved person. Celebrating mothers is one of my greatest joys.
This session wasn’t long, but we were able to make it through multiple outfits and even did bathtub photos. Many of us mothers bathe with our babies and it is one of the tenderest times together, watching them learn to play and splash and love the water. I am so glad I was able to capture that time with this beautiful mother and baby!
